Undo supporting Community, Code and Culture
At Undo, we’re passionate about software and solving the toughest bugs—but we’re just as passionate about the community that surrounds us. Based in the heart of Cambridge, UK, we’ve been fortunate to grow within a city that’s not only a global hub for innovation but also rich with local character and community spirit.
That’s why we’re proud to support a number of local events that bring together people, ideas, and a shared sense of purpose. Whether it’s raising a pint with fellow developers at a beer festival, cheering on teams running for local causes, or digging into the inner workings of “C and C++” at a community tech meetup, Undo is all in when it comes to celebrating what makes Cambridge such a dynamic place to live and work.
Cheers to Community: Sponsoring the Cambridge Beer Festival
One of the highlights on our calendar this year is the Cambridge Beer Festival, happening this May—and we’re thrilled to be one of its sponsors.
For many, the Beer Festival is a beloved local tradition. For us, it’s also a fantastic opportunity to connect with some of our favourite crowd: the C and C++ developer community. Each year, this festival draws in thousands of attendees, including many of our customers and peers in the software world.
It’s hard to beat the combination of real ales, great conversation, and a relaxed setting to talk shop (or not). You’ll find us there raising a glass to open-source contributions, clever compiler tricks, and maybe even that gnarly bug we finally cracked. Events like these remind us that behind every great piece of code is a community of passionate, creative individuals—and we’re proud to be part of it.
Reigniting ACCU Cambridge Meetups
Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper celebration of the Cambridge tech scene without a nod to our fellow software developers.
Earlier this year, we were delighted to help ACCU Cambridge reignite its quarterly meetups, bringing back a much-missed space for developers to gather, learn, and share. If you’re not familiar, ACCU Cambridge is a local branch of the ACCU organisation – a group known for its high-quality technical talks, lively discussions, and strong sense of community.
These meetups are a great fit for anyone interested in software craftsmanship. Expect deep dives into C++, explorations of other programming languages, and talks on agile development, testing, architecture, and more. It’s a place where beginners and seasoned pros alike can challenge each other’s thinking, sharpen their skills, and discover new ideas.
At Undo, we believe in fueling this kind of exchange, so we’ve stepped in to sponsor the essentials—beer and pizza, of course.
The next ACCU Cambridge meetup is scheduled for 9th June 2025, and we’d love to see even more of the local developer community get involved. If you’re a C or C++ dev—or just curious about the tech topics on the agenda—register now at https://www.meetup.com/accu-cambridge.
Running for a Cause: Chariots of Fire
While we love a good pint, we’re equally enthusiastic about getting out and giving back. This year, Undo is also supporting Chariots of Fire, Cambridge’s iconic relay running race. Inspired by the legendary film and the spirit of teamwork it celebrates, this annual event brings together hundreds of runners to race through the historic heart of the city—all in support of local charities.
Since its inception, Chariots of Fire has raised over £1.5 million for causes that make a real difference right here in our community.
We’re proud to be taking part in this event and cheer on the many teams – tech companies, startups, and locals—who lace up their trainers each year to support meaningful change.
Why Local Matters to Undo
Cambridge has been the backdrop to some of the world’s most important scientific and technological breakthroughs, and it continues to be a vibrant centre for innovation. But it’s also a place of parks, pubs, running trails, and meetups where friendships are formed and ideas take flight.
Whether we’re helping developers connect over shared interests, encouraging fitness and fundraising, or just buying the first round at a local pub, we’re committed to keeping Cambridge creative, collaborative, and connected.
